January EWOK Movie Showing
This month’s EWOK! movie night is the classic cannibalistic comedy, Delicatessen. Dinner will be a potluck of cannibal-themed food (bring your own concoction!), along with soilent green stew, brains (which strangely resemble pasta), and bloody chocolate cupcakes, provided by the folks in EWOK!

Where: Mayday Books, 301 Cedar Ave S, Mpls
It’s a benefit for eco-prisoners, so a donation of $5-15 is requested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Co-op store owner sentenced to four days in jail

MADISON – An Eau Claire man will spend four days in jail for trespassing at a U.S. Forest Service facility near Rhinelander while the people he drove there damaged research projects and equipment valued at $500,000. On July 19, 2000, Aaron Ellringer drove four people at their request to a research facility, where they damaged 500 trees and vandalized vehicles. Read the rest of this entry »
