Grand Jury POSTPONED, Infosession STILL ON

October 17, 2008 at 4:14 am (Events)

Note: the Grand Jury originally scheduled for October 21st has been POSTPONED till November 17th. This is no reason to delay community organizing against this and other repressive tactics of the State, so we are still planning a Grand Jury Know-Your-Rights/Info Session for this Sunday, October 19th, but have rescheduled the People’s Fishing Expedition to November 17th to keep a presence outside the Grand Jury itself. Hope to see you on Sunday!

Oct 19 & 21: MN Resist the Grand Jury

October 14, 2008 at 6:52 am (Events)

At least five Texas activists have been subpoenaed to a Grand Jury in Minnesota, and we residents of the Twin Cities have a chance to act in solidarity with them as they resist their subpoenas and refuse cooperation with the State.

Join us for a session on grand juries- what they are, what rights you have, how to resist them.
When: Sunday, Oct 19, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Where: Walker Community Church, 3104 16th Ave. S., Minneapolis

The Feds are going fishing, so we are too! Join us in front of the Federal Courthouse as we speak out and offer moral support to our comrades under subpoena inside. Put on your fishing clothes and bring your gear- while the Feds offer indictments and betrayal, we’ll be offering prizes and solidarity. Rally, stand strong, show the Feds they can’t intimidate us into cooperating.

When: Tuesday, Oct 21, 8:30am-10:30am
Where: Federal Courthouse, 300 S. 4th St., Minneapolis
